Brooke Pelczynski

ARTIST AND ILLUSTRATOR

Deterioration can be beautiful if seen through the eyes of another. Using watercolor, ink, liquid acrylic and resin I capture the feeling of things falling apart but remaining beautiful. Repetition of shapes inviting viewers to look at the whole image and not get lost in one section. My work is created with the feeling of urgency, never knowing if I may not be able to hold a brush one day. My work asks you to step back and absorb the whole image, not to get caught up in a small section. It is about the "the big picture."

Brooke Pelczynski is an illustrator, designer, and multiple sclerosis fighter, based in Brooklyn, NY.

She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from The School of Visual arts.

Her work has been honored by the society of illustrators, and she is an adobe creative jam winner.

She has spoken at Columbia University about the challenges MS has taken on her artistic life, and continues to speak openly about the struggles it will cause in the future. After being diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis her main objective is to produce as much work as possible.
